Itinerary of diving King Cruiser Wreck, Shark Point & Koh Doc Mai from Phuket
Here’s an itinerary and timetable for diving King Cruiser Wreck, Shark Point & Koh Doc Mai from Phuket.
Times are approximate:
Hotel pick up and returns times
vary most, depending on distance
from Chalong Pier.
Koh Doc Mai may be dived first,
with dive #2 at King Cruiser & dive
#3 at Shark Point, and therefore
lunch being after dive #2 instead.
Dive times are planned as 50 mins
maximum (King Cruiser maybe less
due to depth), with surface intervals
of 1 hour minimum between dives.
The King Cruiser Wreck dive is ‘back to the boat’ via the mooring / descent line. Shark Point & Koh Doc Mai are ‘pick up dives’, although sometimes it’s possible to ascend on a mooring at Shark Point between pinnacle 2 and 3.
Which order the sites are dived depends on the strength & direction of current and weather conditions. On occasion, if weather is bad, other islands are dived (such as Koh Maithon), although the priority is to try to dive the King Cruiser or at least Koh Doc Mai.
